Testing Process for Reports


  • The Quantitative detail is important the test… the metrics are correct
  • Also a user/focus group is important to access the UX expectations are met.
  • (if the customer doesn’t like what they see, they’ll circumvent the solution and create their own dashboard/view)

Eliciting requirements from a liaison BA vs. the direct experts


A BA’s “Value” to the company (how to get execs to realize the value)


  • Figure out a KPI that speaks executive language = $ savings… hitting budget, hitting targets, saving money, achieving project success metrics.

Getting mgmt. interested in more formal process


  • Show the analysis in an elicitation plan, diagrams used in analysis, establish project success metrics

Build better BA/Technical team relationships


  • Best approach felt to be going away from teams sitting in “pods” and instead mix teams so all cohabitate… forces relationships by location.
